Bork Havn and Skaven Strand are pure nature wellness. Few places offer so many nature experiences in such a small area - the fjord, the ocean, the dunes, the meadows, Tipperne, the harbour environment, the fishing lake etc.

We recommend you bring bikes when visiting the area - or rent them, which is a possibility at Bork Havn Holiday Housing and at Skaven Camping. It is the optimal way to move around in this nature mekka.

Tipperne is unique. The area is one of the most important breeding areas in Denmark for, among others, ruffs and dunlins, and it is estimated that 800-900 couples of wading birds breed in Tipperne. Evocets, black-tailed godwits, lapwings, redshanks and magpies can also be seen in the area. Birds life at Tipperne is intensely overseen by ornithologists, hied for this assignment by Danmarks Miljøundersøgelser.
